MacHale & Harmelin

Simon and I met in Basel many years ago and felt an immediate connection. Over the years our bond grew stronger as we supported each other’s journeys of growth and exploration both musically and personally.

It took us almost ten years before we started making music together, and when we finally did, it felt simply like coming home. I never knew that a creative process could be shared so explicitly and fruitfully until I started writing music with Simon, and had some of my texts set to his music.

The space that we create in our common musical project gives us a ground to explore playfully some early music with some jazz, some bossa nova with some romantic Lieder, all arranged or composed by the two of us.

Profeti della Quinta

I have been working with Profeti della Quinta under the musical direction of Elam Rotem since 2011. Together we explore vocal repertoire of the 16th and early 17th century, aiming to create vivid and expressive performances.

Voces Suaves

I have been working with Voces suaves since 2015. Voces Suaves, which performs Renaissance and Baroque music with solo voices, is a vocal ensemble based in Basel.
Taking into account the insights of historical performance practice, the ensemble strives for captivating rhetoric combined with a warm and full overall sound that makes the music come alive with emotion. By virtue of the intensive collaboration, a great familiarity within the musical work has evolved.

Santenay

Santenay

Santenay (2004-2018) was an ensemble that I formed together with three dear friends (Elodie Wiener, Julla von Landsberg and Szilárd Cheregi).
We dedicated ourselves to the polyphonic music of the 14th and 15th century. This ensemble is no longer active, but it remains one of the most important milestones in my path of musical exploration and growth.
Luckily we have made a couple of recordings so that our unique ensemble sound can still be heard now that we have gone our separate ways.
I will forever be grateful for my years with Santenay.
